Easy Toilet FIXES and UPGRADES
As seen in the The Bunyip Newspaper on November 29, 2017.
Question 1: Recently I’ve been mopping up a small amount of water from the floor around the toilet. What’s going on?
Answer: The toilet pan may be cracked or the waste trap seal on the S-bend has perished. We can send a technician around to check this out. Don’t forget water on the floor is a serious slip hazard.
Q2: Isn’t it going to be expensive to replace a toilet?
A: We can supply and fit the latest standard, quality dual-flush toilet suite from $775.50. Here’s one we replaced recently in Modbury. The old unit used 12 litres of water per flush. Now it uses just 3.5 litres and ticks the boxes for eco-efficiency and cost saving.
Q3: Now I’m thinking about it, there has also been a sound of water trickling into the toilet in the ensuite. What’s this?
A: Sounds like the cistern needs attention. Leaks like this can easily increase your daily water use by 250 litres and yet it’s an easy fix for our plumbers.
Q4: What else should I be thinking of?
A: A cracked toilet seat is a health hazard. We can supply and install a soft-close, quick-release seat from $210. It will bring a touch of luxury to your bathroom.
